O3M SAF Data policy

All data and products generated under the Cooperation Agreement regarding the O3M SAF are owned by EUMETSAT. Other data and products derived from the data and/or products developed within the O3M SAF are not property of EUMETSAT, but the O3M SAF and EUMETSAT require proper recognition of the original data/product source. All data products are provided free of charge.

Distribution of data and products generated within O3MSAF:
Any data source (printed, electronic, other forms) must acknowledge EUMETSAT and the O3M SAF project for providing data and/or products by an explicit acknowledgement statement (see below). The O3M SAF and/or EUMETSAT logos shall appear in the documentation.

Sample statement: "These data/products were generated under the auspices of the O3M SAF project of the EUMETSAT."

Creation of new products based on data or products from O3M SAF:
Any new products that are derived from data and/or products from the O3M SAF must acknowledge the original source of data by an explicit acknowledgement statement (see below). When these products are disseminated, EUMETSAT and the O3M SAF shall be acknowledged explicitly.

Sample statement: "These data/products were generated using data/products developed within the O3M SAF project of the EUMETSAT."

Publication of scientific results based on data or products directly from or derived from O3M SAF:
Any publication making use of data and/or products produced by the O3M SAF or derived from products produced by the O3M SAF must acknowledge the source of the original data by an explicit acknowledgement statement (see below). Acknowledgement to EUMETSAT and O3M SAF must appear in the acknowledgement section of the article.

Sample acknowledgement: "We thank the O3M SAF project of the EUMETSAT for providing data and/or products used in this paper."

Publication of non-scientific results (public dissemination, education, press, web-services, etc.) based on data or products directly from or derived from O3M SAF must acknowledge EUMETSAT and the O3M SAF by an explicit acknowledgement statement (see below). The acknowledgement must appear next to the presentation of the data and/or products from/derived from the O3M SAF data and/or products. Where applicable, the EUMETSAT and/or O3M SAF logo shall appear in the documentation and/or presentation.
